Sometimes you need to simply bust out of your routine and take a break. Spend some time reviewing old pieces that you loved to play, write a song of your own, play a mini concert of your tops hits, listen to an inspiring artist.
Practice doesn't need to be in the same structure every single time, once in awhile you can relax the mood, let go of the hard new pieces and focus on what you have already achieved. When you return to your routine you may have a new, inspired perspective- and your pieces will come to life! There is more to making music than simply notes on a page...
Reward your child for any time spent making music, spend time remembering what you love it about playing music, you will all be happier for it!
